A storm kit ensures your awning is extra stable in strong winds and prevents wear and tear on the tent fabric. The heavy-duty storm strap can be mounted directly inside or outside the awning for extra support.

To install the storm kit, attach the loop to the joints of the awning, for example in a corner, and put it through the storm strap and down to the spike peg. The spike peg should be placed at an oblique angle so that it has a good grip on the ground. Avoid over-tightening the storm strap as this can cause the frames to sink. The storm strap should only provide support in case of strong winds.

It is recommended to use a storm kit in each corner joints of the awning and possibly on centre frames for extra stability in stormy weather.
